Graphic design, also known as communication design, is the process of visual communication where Graphic designers create and combine symbols, images and text to form visual representations of ideas and messages. The form of the communication can be physical or virtual, and may include images, words, or graphic forms.
What, exactly, does a graphic designer do?
Graphic Designer are visual communicators. They are given a brief, which states a problem to solve, or a specific outcome that needs to be achieved, and they collect information and analyze it to figure out the best solution. Graphic designers can use literally any visual medium to communicate our messages. They use shapes, colors, and fonts, on print design, websites and social media. They can use photography and animation.
